Question Best Internet Browser?

I am looking for a better browser than IE that comes with it. I would like suggestions. I like landscape view and also would like to use secure sites that require more advanced settings (like require IE 6.0). THanks for the help.

You can put any app into landscape view - if you do this often, assign landscape view to one of your hardware buttons.

Anyway, if you don't want to shell out any cash, ftxPBrowser is an excellent free browser that gives you tabbed browsing and fullscreen browsing. Won't help with IE 6 compatibility though.

If you don't mind spending $30, I hear that the Java-enabled NetFront is very good. It won the Pocket PC Magazine award in the Browsers category.

Personally I use the free ftxPBrowser and am very satisfied with it.

Thanks for the link. I'm good with PIE in ozVGA/landscape but really want full screen.

Cheers

Netfront is pretty good. There's a trial version though. Give it a go. You might like the fact that it's desktop-grade, as in it's as good as, for example, Firefox (which I hope everyone is using by now!)

My main complaint with Netfront is the absolutely abismal text rendering. Also, I didn't think the page resizing is as good as PIE.

Reensofts PIE Plus (and they have a new version 1.3 which is even better, watch for it to be released in the very near future, it has VGA support) allows more than one window at a time plus includes the ability to fool web sites into thinking you're running IE6 on a desktop, check it out and try the trial at: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=10692
ftXp can add certain things that are usually desirable and it's free, but hasn't been upgraded in a long time and needs it.
Southway Corp.'s MultiIE which adds a lot to PIE, see and try it at: http://www.southwaycorp.net/multiie.htm
for ftXp, see: http://park15.wakwak.com/~ftx/ftxp3e/
Better yet, try all 3 and make your choice and hope this helps.
Another one that is pretty decent is Netfront v3.1,(supposedly they have a new versions to come out this year that will cover some of their weaknesses) trials are also available on it but it is a bit pricey and while I own it, I don't really like it after using it for a while. Here is the delvelopers link tho, take a look:

Another freebie, not really a browser but a service somewhat similar to THawk in that it renders web pages for use on a PPC or Palm or whatever for that matter. Here's their link (I use in the subscription version) it works quite well:

Try all of them
