AM/FM radio for my X30
Is there such a thing? Either as software or as a hardware add-on to the Axim.
I would like to listen to the radio while i'm work and I would like something that I could hook up to my Axim since I already use it as my main MP3 player. Thanks in advance.

If you have wireless connectivity at work there's lots of streaming audio stations online. I haven't seen a tuner for a pocket pc yet... anybody?

Well there is wireless connectivity at work, but I need to listen to a specific radio station that doesnt stream online. To be more specific, basically I just wanna listen to Howard Stern in the mornings and his radio station doesnt stream on the internet, plus I can't really listen to that at work using a regular radio since I work in a very conservative organization.

Sorry I don't see the point when you can buy an easily concealable FM radio for 2GBP or so.....

Well you could subscibe to XM Radio online, which now has him and stream that over the WiFi network to your axim. I believe XM is able to be streamed wirelessly with Shoutcast. That'd be my suggestion.

No, he's not on XM Radio but he will be on Serius Satelite Radio in the end of the year. But as for now, he's only in the radio.
But anyways, my problems are solved. I just purchased a neat Sandisk 512 MB Mp3 player that has FM tuner for a little over $100. :)
Well that's the end of that. Anyways thanks for all your help and replies. :approve:

Could you give more info about this card? I'm looking for something like that too...
Many thanks.

FM radio on PPC
Yes they do exist. Looked at one years ago to put on my X5 and they had an updated version for the dell as the standard one (CF)
slot radio was too short to reach the pins. There was going to be a SD radio coming out but whether one has I do not know. Suggest a google search. You will only be able to get FM though as a PPC puts out too much RF for AM reception, put one next to a walkman on AM and see what happens. Mobileplanet has something by Ambicom (I just googled...) you can check. I did not buy one as I wanted AM and FM as I am a talk radio junkie. You will have to give up one of your memcard slots though, good thing the dell has both CF and SD. :rolling:

Pay attention to where you are posting! This is the X30 section and the X30 does NOT have both CF and SD slots!
