Streaming Radio z1035

Hi,

I was wondering how would i stream the station z1035 from www.z1035.com to my ppc? I normally will use shoutcast and gsplayer, but on shoutcast there is no z1035 station, however on the z1035 site you can stream audio onto your pc, but i just don't know how to stream it onto my ppc using gsplayer or similar. Thanks in advance!

Andy

I would try setting up your own shoutcast station and sending it wirelessly to your axim. You may be able to tune into z1035 from your own methods, feed it through Shoutcast and then stream it. Also, if you're willing to put a bit of money into it, use the Airport by Apple, there you could stream it wirelessly very easy from your PC to your PPC. It is costly at $129 but well worth it, I should know, I have tried them with great success. But first things first, try streaming it yourself through Shoutcast.

It uses WIndows Media to stream but the Webpage uses a plugin not the native player. I ran into this same problem woth di.fm at one point but they changed maybe sending an e-mail to them would help. Where the heck is this coming from anyway?

Oh BTW is it possible for you to find the url to stream music from flow935(www.flow935.com)? Also, one more thing, when i'm in gsplayer and i go to open url, then i type in the address(http://www.z1035.com....) it doesn't work. However if i open url in wmp it will work? How do i get it to work in gsplayer? Again thank you so much for your help!

Andy

Well it will only work in GSplayer of it's a shoutcast stream AFAIK. If your favorite staions don't use shoutcast you can't just force it to work.

Flow 93.5 = http://www.flow935.com/broadcast/flow935.asx

Type this or the other url into PIE then it will automattically open WMP. I'm not sure if it works the other way. So maybe you could add these links to your PIE Favorites and open them that way or type the url into a word document and tap on them from in thurr.

Well I've been using an X50v lately and www.di.fm works through WMP10 again for me. I haven't tried the shoutcast icons though. I also use bluetooth so I choose the lowest stream.

Try it out out again.

I spent a night last week trying to get DI.fm to play on my X30. What I finally did that worked was to click on the icon to play now for winamp, downloaded and saved that file, then I can open it and play it in either betaplayer or gsplayer. Now whenever I want to listen, I just click on the saved file and it automatically connects, buffers and plays in either player. I don't have to go to the website. I could never get it to work in Windows Media Player.

Hey! I have the same problem--kind of.

My wife's from Poland and she loves to listen to Radiozet through www.radiozet.pl. They have a "listen" button in the corner. They have a real media stream and they have a windows stream, but the windows stream is through a strange .html popup interface.

Help! Thanks, guys.

Fixed my message--it's radiozet.pl. Dern typo! Thanks for checking it out Don't Panic. I'll give you a bit more help, as if you don't speak Polish navigating the page can be a challenge.

That listen button is at the top right and the bottom left corners. It says, "POSŁUCHAJ / LISTEN"

From the next page, you can click on the blue play button to bring up a wmv stream through a popup in your browser. You can also get a .rm stream by clicking on the "tutaj" where it says "kliknij tutaj" (translates to "click here").

I've tried pocket real player with no luck. It seemed like a piece of junk program to me, to be honest. I don't really understand why they make it so difficult to access streams on a pda, though.

Also, there is a huge demand for the streams from this site. I usually don't have any problem getting a stream at night (when it's in the middle of the night in Poland), but during the say my wife sometimes clicks for 10 minutes before she gets served a stream. Demand > supply. If you have this problem from your desktop, it's usual.
