Calendar Reminders Help

I need some help setting reminders in the calendar on my X30-H. I recently had my Axim start up by itself while in the cradle for a reminder I had placed to attend an event. I did not cancel the reminder and left the Axim on to see it would automatically turn off after the time for the event passed. When I returning 4 hours later, my Axim was still on and the reminder was still showing on the screen. Because the Axim was in the cradle I did not run the battery down. But there will be times I will be running on the battery. If a reminder pops up and I don't catch it, my main battery will eventually drain and I will be running just the backup battery. If I list an event or appointment and un-check the reminder box this will not happen.

Is there a way to insure the Axim will turn itself off after a reminder pops up on the screen when I leave it unattended and uncleared?

Bill - I found this post based on a search. I just started having this problem after not having any issues with reminders for the first year. All of a sudded, Calendar notifications are completely draining my battery.

I just unchecked the Program Notifications box, which I'm sure will resolve the issue. Strange thing is, I didn't change anything prior to this happening.

It simply appears as though the notifications are not terminating after a certain period of time, and just continuing on until the Axim is turned on. I will post back if I stumble upon anything that resolves this issue, and lets me keep my Calendar notifications without completely draining my battery
