Activesync errors

For the past week or so I have been getting an error with Activsync. It starts to sync with the Axim X3i, then a few seconds later an error message comes up saying "the instruction at "0x71a5a0af" referenced memory at "0xc615f6be". The memory could not be "read"."
I click OK. then a similar message comes up saying that another memory could not be "written".
Click OK and third message about some more memory that cant be "read".

After this the little syncing icon keeps spinning for hours and i end up with multiple copies of items in my inbox.

Anyone have any ideas? I am using Activesync 3.8 with Windows XP SP2.

I have tried uninstalling everything and cleaning the registry and hard reseting the axim.
I have even tried going back to Activesync 3.7.1.
I still get this problem.

If anyone has had a similar experience or knows how to fix this I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks.

These kinds of errors are sometimes caused by a conflict with another program. Did you install anything new on your Axim before it started?

I've been getting exactly the same thing. This was pre-3.8 but installing the new version has made no difference. I just bought and installed spb Pocket pro and Sprite backup. I also have been trying out iMove. One thing - I tried to apply the A05 ROM update which failed recently. This left Messenger no longer working. Any of these things in common with you?

I dont want to speak too early, but i think i might have gotten it working. I just completely removed everything from the computer that had to do with activesync. Cleared out the registry a couple of times to make sure everything was gone, hard reset the Axim and got rid of everything on it, then reinstalled activesync and connected the axim. So far it has been working alright. The only thing i did differently was that i limited file attachment sizes to 3 MB, where i had it unlimited before.
