Reminders & Notifications

I have an X30 mid with A05 ROM.

I have noticed that I seem to have no control over how long a reminder sounds for.

I'm talking about reminder notifications when entering appointments in the calendar or reminders for tasks.

I think the longest period the reminder alarm will go for is about 15 minutes.

I know you can set how to be reminded under the settings menu (Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications) by selecting "Reminders" under the event menu.

Your only options are to to play the sound selected, and, whether to repeat it or not. As far as I can tell, there is no option on how long the sound repeats for. There is a setting for how long the light flashes for, but that is separate to the actual sound.

This means the sounds only last 15 minutes, which in my book is not long enough. I should at least have the option of adjusting this.

Anyone have any ideas?

You could try SPB Pocket Plus. One of it enhancements is to add repeating, escalating, alarms...

I like it because it will sound the alarm repeatedly, every N minutes. When the alarm is played it gradually gets louder, so if it goes off when I am in a meeting I can shut it off before it foghorn loud (pattern is sort of like this: ..--OO@@## ..--OO@@## ..--OO@@## ..--OO@@## )
