I got a x30 High for my B-Day!
I received an Axim x30 High for my birthday. :) From what I've used so far, it seems great, and a huge upgrade (in most respects) from my E-125.
Video playback is perfect, with the 624MHz CPU I can run basically any video file I want on it in Betaplayer at full speed. I don't have a SD Card yet, but video playback was perfect from files streamed wirelessly from my computer.
Pocket Quake ran really well in landscape mode, really smooth and the controls weren't too bad.
SNES emulator was excellent. At first, there seemed to be a bit of button lag or something. If I lightly tapped the control pad left or right, my character wouldn't move, I would have to hold it down longer to go. But I turned the thread priority down to “below normal”, and now it works perfectly fine, registering any tap, however light.
I am going to get a RhinoSkin case, a 1GB SD card, and a better screen protector. Right now, I am using a Fellows WriteRight Universal Protector, which is alright but it is pretty scratched up.

The x30 High was a lot more expensive then my usually birthday gifts. :) I'm not counting on anything big next year.

try Morphgear for your emulation, NES, GCB, GB, SMS, GG all run full speed, SNES worgks well but the controlls are a little hard(not enough buttons on the ax) GENISIS emulation is also great(sonic 3 works good anyway)GBA works but with sound it is a little slow. MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING A05 ROM, IT HAS GAPI IMPROVEMENTS (the gaming interface). When you get your SD card make sure to reformat it, I got a couple of cards, one of them is a lexar it wouldn't work right till I formated it in the ax (using pocket mechanic). ENJOY YOUR NEW AX AND WELCOME TO THE SITE.

I use morphgear for SNES emulation. I forgot to specify what emulator I used in my first post. Mine came with the A05 Rom already installed. The controls work pretty good in SNES emulation. At first, I thought the layout of the buttons and the small D-Pad would be a problem, but nearly all of the games I've tried only need two buttons, and the D-Pad has worked well for me. Overall, I’m pretty impressed with SNES emulation on my x30.

I agree. The x50v is pretty nice, but VGA and the 2700G are more of a hindrance in most apps than a plus. I’d rather wait for an operating system that properly supported VGA than using hacks to force true-VGA. By the time the majority of games are programmed to support 3D chips like the 2700G, faster devices will be on the market, with WM2005.
While the x50Mid has a CF slot, the x30H is faster and smaller, and in my opinion, the x30 is better looking.

I can think of something even better looking than the X30.
