I did the same thing. Problem is the backup file is stored in a different folder for each partnership. So do this~
Put you Axim in the cradle to get a connection.
Go to Tools>Backup/Restore
On the backup tab click on the "Change" button next to the "back up this file to" box.
In the drop down list change to the next folder up should be "Profiles". Look for the folder with the name of the partnership when you last created a backup file and open it.
In that folder is a file called backup. Right click and select copy.
Now go back to the origonal folder (probably guest or Pocket_PC) and paste this file there.
Then CANCEL out untill you are back to the Backup tab on Activesync.
Change to the Restore tab and click "restore now"
That should do it. It should restore all your settings including the partnership you had when you backedup.
