Question Odyssey Client

Good day.. I am new to this site and have just purchased a X30. I beleive I made an excellent choice. My question is this. I came across Odyssey Client and really don't understand its use. Could someone please fill me in on this, PLUS I would like to know if this is a program that is widely used. How many out there with X30's use this program? Later on my next question will probably be " How the hell do you set this up"? but we will take it one step at a time. Thanks

I use the odyssey client all the time. It is an alternative to the Dell Wlan program. The Dell program wouldnt pick up my college signal or the signal I have set up at work. But the odyssey gets them going perfectly. To use it, simply open the program and enable it. Should just take a few moments and be up and running.

I don't use the odyssey client at all. Honestly, I don't think it's very easy to set up with WEP and a password.

Plus, I've had no success in using it in conjunction with my home WiFi network. I'm just using Dell's WLAN Utility.

I never needed it. I understand that it's neccessary with some networks, but I seriously didn't need it. Since it was a waste of 2MB for me, I replaced the executable with a dummy file.

I found odyssey client was the only thing that (used to) worked with my home peer to peer network

Odyssey client makes it easy for me to switch from network to network anywhere I go.

I leave it in the start up menu and it seems to find the most powerful signal.

I have never had it working, not that i have spent a long time trying, I usually click on it, nothing happens and then find something better to do. Are you saying you can release the memory used by the program in some way? please explain.

Thanks guys for the input. I've decided to keep it and try it. I've set it up( was easy actually). I'll see how much I use it before deciding on getting rid of it.
