playing .avi files

I can't seem to get .avi files to play on my axim x30h. I have Betaplayer and media player 9 on the device. Anyone know a fix or download?

My X30H has WMP10 (maybe you should upgrade to A05 Rom)

I watch divx/xvid files on my X30H all the time using BetaPlayer.

Which version of BetaPlayer are you using? The New 0.5 Stable is the latest version. I installed the 0.96 Unstable version on a friends X30 and he had no problem playing an XVID .avi file I created. If you can play the .avi on your desktop find out what the properties are. Maybe there's something in it that BetaPlayer doesn't support.

With BetaPlayer go to Options>Settings>Select Page>File Associations and make sure that the VideoFiles (AVI,DIVX) check box is ticked.

None of my File Associations are checked and it works? I think the File Association thing is only so you can click on a file in explorer and have it open with BetaPlayer. It couldn't hurt though.
