A Very Stupid Question
I apologize in advance for the ignorance of this query- but here goes. I travel occassionally and so I ordered an Axim x30 624 Mhz to carry along with me- since its easier than toting a laptop. I got it because I understand that if you have a PDA with wi-fi you can go wherever there's a wi-fi hotspot (like Starbucks, the Airport, some hotels, etc) and check email, surf a bit, and the like. Is this so? Have I correctly understood what a PDA can do?
Further- do I need to download something to be able to check email or does it come with something like Outlook or Mozilla's Thunderbird or Eudora?

Pocket IE (PIE) and Pocket Outlook are already installed and useable. Yes, WiFi+your axim will give you what you're looking for. Here's a good read http://www.aximsite.com/tutorials/in...qid=43&catid=2
