WCESMgr.exe - Application Error

Need some technical advice. I am having no sucess in resolving the Microsoft ActiveSync error.

WCESMgr.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The instruction at "0x7c911f6c" referenced memory at "0x00008000". The memory could not be "read".

I am running an AXIM X30 624MHz with Windows Mobile 2003 secon edition version 4.21.1088 build 14049.
This seemed to start after I upgraded the Advantgo.

The Active Sync version I am running is ver 3.7.1 build 4034

After the error present the sync icon continues to run but the sync in not occuring.Just seem to hang.

Any Help will be appreciated....

Yeah I had this problem. I totally uninstalled Active Sync and reinstalled v3.8.0 and that fixed it. The problem arose when I installed Nero 6.xxx under WinXP SP2.

Clean install should do it. Also make sure you stop the active sync process on you PDA too. Just go into running processes and hit stop all or better yet do a soft reset (no data lost).

Cheers
Adrian

PS. Welcome to Axim site -> happy posting :)

Have you tried updating ActiveSync to 3.8?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ivesync38.mspx

Maybe this will help.

NO, I have not tried the 3.8 version. Thanks for the info. I will keep this in mind if it acts up again. :approve:
I did a reinstall x 3 to get this error fixed.
I uninstalled it and kept the folders, it synced then returned to the error. I did this twice. :exc:
Then I uninstalled it, uninstalled the Avantgo( new version and uninstalled the axim diagnostic program from the PDA. :realmad:
Then I reinstalled ActiveSync and said YES to delete the folders. Then resynced the Axim and the sync worked w/o the error.
So for now it is working. Thanks :approve:
