Outlook syncs to axim ok, but axim calendar's wrong.

Hello all,

I've been sorta force-fed a few Axim X30's to support, and i'm not terribly proficient at PocketPC. I've got the majority of the Axims sync and operate quite well, even with the odessey client for our wireless.

but, one axim refuses to sync correctly with outlook 2003. The calendar data is correct on outlook; but when i sync to the Axim, the calendar shows some appointments as 'all day' when in outlook it's a one-hour appointment. It also syncs the time incorrectly, by 12-14 hours sometimes. It's pretty frustrating.

What I've tried so far:

1. made sure time-zone was correct on both machines.
2. soft and hard reset
3. different axim

all with no change in results.

anything you guys come up with would be greatly appreciated.

By different Axim, I take it you are meaning you took a different handheld and synced it to the Outlook profile with the calendar info that you've been having trouble with, right?

If the same things are happening with two different Axims, then the problem is very unlikely to be the handhelds. You might try taking the Axim that you started dealing with this issue on and syncronizing it with a new profile on a different computer. If it's working there, then there would be no doubt where the problem really lies.

But honestly, even now, it sounds like something is wrong somewhere on that computer. I would seriously suggested considering a backup of the data for that profile and starting some removing/reinstalling/rebuilding on that computer. Maybe it's ActiveSync, maybe its Outlook, maybe its something else. Who knows.

i considered that, but my hunch is that it's not the axim.

I would agree. I was hoping that someone had a whiz-bang answer for me. Rebuilding the PC is an option... but only as a last resort; it's for the provost of our university.
