Laggy Notes ink

On my X30 High, I've noticed that ink in Notes or related programs (like Pocket Informant Alarm Notes) is laggy if either lines or grid is selected. There is no lag when I use a blank background. Is this normal? If not, what should I do to fix this? It has happened on both X30 Highs that I have gotten.
