Wifi connection problems

I have an x30 312 and have just purchased a belkin wirless usb network adaptor running on my desktop (windows xp sp2), i can get both to connect peer to peer but thats just about it, cannot access internet or share files both x30 and desktop do not recognize the network path. Have tried it both ways belkin software and wzc but neither work. Can anyone point me to a site with a step by step guide, thought this would be easy!

If you are using XP SP2 its a known problem - XP SP2 drivers load first and Belkin devivce needs itw own drivers. I wasted a whole day on this. Call them they will resolve it in a sec.
