switcher bar

Is there any way to have the switcher bar always up and running? After each soft reset it disappears - and some days there a lot of soft resets!

Yes:

1. In File Explorer, goto the Windows directory, thereafter tap and hold Switcher. Tap Copy.

2. While still in File Explorer, go to the Windows | StartUp directory. In the blank space below the files, tap and hold. Click Paste Shortcut.

3. Perform a soft reset of your Axim.

A Switcher icon should now appear at the top of your screen.

With File Explorer, look for SwitcherBar.exe in the Windows folder. Tap and hold on it and select Copy. Paste it into Windows - Startup by tapping and holding a blank area.

Do you have an X30? Dell might not have included the Switcher on other models, although I don't know for sure. But I definitely have Switcher in the Windows directory of my X30.

All the Axim models have the Switcher Bar. However, location and file name may vary I guess.

I suggest Magic Button as a better freeware "switcher" application, plus there are some added other benefits.

Look in MyPDA for the link.

Hey Yoshore...............

I too didn't have the listing for the SwitcherBar.exe directly under Windows either but went to Windows\Shortcut\System to find the SwitcherBar icon located there. Just hold on the icon and chose Copy then go to Windows\Startup tap and hold on a blank portion of that page and select Paste. The Switcher Bar icon will now load to your Start Page taskbar automaticly... :approve:
