Question X3 Defragmenting

Hi All
Could someone tell me if the X3 ever needs to be defragmented, and if so how is it done?
Cheers

Don't defragment a SD card! That wears it out!

The best way is to just move the contents off the device and then move them back.

Wouldn't it be better to copy contents to another drive (Reformat card) then recopy back to card...anyway why do you need to do this anyway?

Haha you always find nice pictures to go with your thread. A Photochopper with too much time...

Flash memory has a limit to the write cycles it can handle. I think its supposed to be like 100,000 write cycles before bad things start occuring. That is why people dont use their flash cards for IE cache and stuff.

I wouldn't be concerned about wearing the card out unless you plan on passing the card down to your kids.
