Will the button lag in certain games ever be fixed?

Is there ever going to be a fix for the button lag issues with the x30. Many games, like Warfare Inc, Tower Mougle, and Morphgear (after adjusting thread priority) work fine without any button lag. But some games, like gfDoom, PocketQuake, and Age of Empires have noticeable button lag. Is Dell ever going to try and fix this issue?

And if Dell does not offer a fix, is it possible for an experienced programmer to create a work-around, or is it strictly a hardware issue? Form looking at previous posts on this issue, I couldn't tell whether it originated from the x30's hardware or a bug in GAIP for 2003SE.

Also, does the button lag affect x50s? It doesn't sound like it from the x50 boards. If that is the case, then it is something x30 specific.

If it's ok for some games and not others then it's probably a software problem.
