Private IP

I was logging on the PIE and it sent me to a page that had PRIVATE IP on it and I had to login or register. I tried tapping on the register icon but it did nothing. Is this something I need to do from my desktop?

There should be no setup required to access PIE in general. What site were you trying to access? Are you on a private network?

I was at a local hot spot. I think I had entered www.microsoft.com just to try it out.

The hotspot requires authorized access - you need an account to access it. Try PIE where you know the hotspot is freely accessible and you will not encounter this message.

There are next to no "free" hotspots where I live. Actually, I have not heard of any "free" hotspots. Who has free hotspots?

yes they're free. You don't have to pay anything to use it. If I go to the coffee shop I'll buy a PEPSI for $0.80 just so I'm not taking complete advantage of the place, since it is privately owned. Looking out for the little guy $0.80 at a time! :approve:
