Backup battery issues
My backup (nonremovable internal) battery looses power when not on ac power even when the main battery (removable battery) has plenty of power left. It seems to drop to 80% frequently and if used for awhile to 60% (according to WisBar Advance 2's battery meters). Once it was down to 40% and I got a warning saying to charge the backup battery. I ussually don't let the main battery drop to low and I backup my data regularly. Has anyone else had any similar problems? I have received a replacement Axim but have hestated to switch because its refurbished while mine is only a few months old and has been babied, not to mention I don't want the hastle. Is it worth switching? I have an Axim x30high by the way. Thanks for your time.

Mine started out like that then went reall downhill! Now i cant take it off the cradle for more then 20seconds without the backup battery giving me a warning.
The PDA will not sync now either. Its very very aggrivating and no one has been able to help :(

Did you you guys charge it for 8 hours the first time? Im not sure if that has anything to do with it but you were suppose to have pressed the power button while it was charging. Thats what the sticker on the front of the axim says to do in oder to charge the back up battery.

Do you leave it off for long periods of time?
I've 60% occasionally on mine, but it usually bounces back to 80% after being on for a bit.

Yeah battery has been charging forever and a day. Ive done all the regular reset crap etc. QUestion is, if I replace the battery, does that solve the backup battery issue? Is it internal to the main battery or built into the board on the axim?
Im 2seconds from tossing this thing into traffic!

If you bought a new one then it probably would fix it, maybe your current battery is no good. If you decide to get a new one do the 8 hour charge thing.

thats how its supposed to show the backup battery life. the people that give a percentage are probably using a 3rd party application to measure the backup battery.

Mine often says 80% too, sometimes 60%. Never had issues swapping out the removable battery though.
