Question Intellisync For Yahoo--does it allow for wireless sync?

I just inherited an Axim3. According to hubby I can sync thru our home network. I need to sync with yahoo but can only do so if I uninstall ActiveSync8 and install Intellisync for Yahoo. Does anyone know if I sync yahoo to outlook will it allow the axim to sync to outlook thru the wireless>
Thanks

Intellisync requires the unit be setting in the cradle. MS active sync is the "gateway" between your hand held and everything else. Active sync does alow wireless syncing. Let me know if you need the details. You can even sync via VPN connection from any place in the world.

dwalker1, your post seems a bit contradictory but the fact is, as long as AS is set up for wireless syncing, Intellisync will work that way, as well.

Wireless sync section of the WiFi Guide.

The intellisync app available via yahoo does not allow wireless syncing. However, MS active sync does.

I'd never used IntelliSync for Yahoo but I assumed it was similar to the full version of IntelliSync, which I use over a network connection all the time at work. But you piqued my curiosity so I set up an email account with Yahoo and installed IntelliSync for Yahoo on my home PC. I connected to ActiveSync via wireless and then started IntelliSync. It downloaded about 700 contacts to Yahoo so, in fact, you can use it over WiFi. You just need to make sure the ActiveSync connection is active when you start IntelliSync.
