Suitable Main Memory levels

First part of this question is the main memory levels. I understand that the more available RAM in main memory the faster and smoother the programs will run. What is an acceptable level of available memory. Right now I'm showing about 25 megs free and thats after a soft reset.
Second question: How can I check and see what is in the storage side of my main memory (files)...is it the files listed under My Device minus the BIS and Storage card files?

Mine seems to stay around 25 to 27. Don't know of that is good or bad. Can't seem to get more than that. would be interested in some other information on this topic.

The free program Where Is My Ram will tell you what's taking up space where on you Axim.

Hope that is some help, maybe someone else will offer something more difinative on the subject

I like to keep my program memory above 30mb. I only have a few programs in RAM. The rest are installed in BIS and SD card. Two programs that are indispensable to me are:

SpaceFinderPus

WR-Tools ResInfo

The two of these should help you out. Check out my View MyPDA also for some more useful apps and info.

I used 'where is my ram' but came to the conclusion to invest $12 in order to have a better software, with some nice features.

I am now using Memaid from dinar soft. It works great and its definitely worth the price.

Check it out yourself:

Mine stays between 25 - 27 Megs as well. But that's without a soft reset in the last few days, and all my Today plugins running.
This level seems to keep me running fairly smoothly.
