m4p to mp3

Are there any media players that will play m4p formats or free converters. I downloaded music from itunes and i want to play them on my Axim x3 without having to burn the music to cd and rip to windows media player.

Any ideas?

Music downloaded from iTunes is copy protected with Fairplay DRM.

There were some tools that would strip out the DRM but I believe that Apple has negated these.

If you have a CD/RW you could use that and burn/rip/erase/burn/rip/erase etc.

I burned the music to a cd-rw, but i cannot erase the music files from the cd because I get an error stating that the content is read-only.

I read another thread regarding this issue and someone suggested using Jhymn and that seems to be working well. Both GSPlayer and Beta Player will now play the iTunes m4p files that were converted to mp3 using Jhymn.
