Please, an opinion, XCPUSCALAR?

I'm the one who asked Sunday about upgrading the processor speed on my x30. The reason I wanted to do this was to be able to us Skype on my handheld. Someone said that it wouldn't hurt to "try" by downloading the program with my x30 as is. I tried but it won't work. I need at least a speed of 400. My question now is: I found xcpuscalar on Handango.com. It claims to work on an x30 and at a reasonable price, $15.95 (beats having to buy another axim). Now to the questions. Has anyone done this? Did it work? All I want is to increase the speed to 400, nothing more. Finally, can a computer novice such as myself pull this off without risking my x30 and with a minimum of capability?

i run skype on my x30m just fine.

I've been using xcpuscalar for about six months now with no problems on my x30.
