Question Axim keeps turning on by itself!

While in cradle and turned off, my Axim every so often turns on for a few seconds and then back off again, all by itself..
What is this?

Open Messaging program, click the Accounts option from the menu bar and then select Accounts... You will have listed the word New... and your Email account. Click the email account (you will be directed to E-Mail Setup (1/4) Click Next > Next > Next to be at E-mail Setup (4/4). Click the options button. This is the window where you can select to have or not messages checked every ## minutes. Uncheck the proper box to stop this.

Well you said it only does that when you are sync'd with the computer...so there is someting on the computer that is changing and waking the Axim up to resync the change that was made. Try open up the sync window and click on OPTIONS and look at Shedule Tab and see if Desktop Shedule is set at Continous.

OK I switched it to "On Connection" but the Axim still turns on and off (literally for 2 seconds) every one hour, except that now at least the ActiveSync doesn't go on too, like it did when it was on "Continuously".
So why does the Axim still go on & off every hour? How do I stop it?

Did you install that sprite backup?
I had it set to make a backup if the battery level drops below 10% and it kept turning on by itself every hour or so...

Yes I did! What can I do to turn this feature off but still leave the Sprite Backup helpful and functional?

Try this program:
http://www.micrologics.co.uk/library/ast/

It will kill ActiveSync and unload it from your desktop/laptop's memory.
If ActiveSync is not running then it will not wake your PPC.
When you're ready to use ActiveSync again run the program again and it will reload it.

Nope, that's not ActiveSync — it has been unloaded and yet Axim still turns on & off every hour!
I'd like to know how to disable that Sprite Backup feature though..
