I have revision A10, and the only problem after upgrading to A06 I have of is the Bluetooth options missing (in contacts and similar apps) and the processor speed not being shown when set on "Auto" (although I have mine set on Max performance all the time).

Same missing Bluetooth options here tooo and same problem with the processor speed not displaying. The 'Dial via Bluetooth' option in contacts was very very handy for me and I'm reverting back to version A05 now. Rather than improving on version A05, the new A06 update doesn't make any sense...unless there were problems with (I'm speculating here) bluetooth jacking or something along those lines

I'm sticking with A05 for now. I see no reason to upgrade my bluetooth when I don't use it and my odyssey client when I don't use that either...

Plus the taking away of the processor speed like that in power? Dude..what's up with dell and their craptastic ROM updates.

What's the real point of it? The Bluetooth hackability?

Arrow Rom Upgrade Works Just FIne

The upgrade to A06 worked absolutely perfect for me. A few changes that I've noticed, there is a WLAN tab in the Power Options setting, transfering items and syncing by BlueTooth are slightly faster, however it's barely enough to notice, and I can now connect to my system without the use of Odyssey Client.
The only Con I have found is I can no longer connect via Terminal Services Client. I've been working on this problem for hours now and it simply keeps timing out on the connection. Any ideas?

By the way, my bluetooth dialing works fine, and when set to auto I can see the Proc. speed... my hardware version is Rev A12

I think you might be on to something here! Those folk who post that they have had a successful A06 upgrade, have so far been hardware revision A10 and above.

With A06, I have the high battery drain, no ability to dial via BT and the current processor speed doesn't show. My hardware revision is A02.

Odyssey I think became less useful in A06- It can't get an exact fix on a wireless signal. It keeps dropping out repeatedly. Whereas if I just use the WLAN utility it works fine.

Sorry to bust your bubble but it doesnt look like the hardware revision is the culprit...I have A10 and after upgrading to firmware A06 and playing around I ended up reverting back to A05 due to battery drain and a host of other problems.

Well, i updated to AO6 today, and i'm glad I did. I was having a small problem with bluetooth in A05. For some reason, the bluetooth manager "Status" page never worked. With A06, the status page does work, and i notice a improvement in audio quality. As for power, i haven't noticerd a drop in battery life, but i usually run in power saver mode @ 416 Mhz, which i recommend to save power (read this thread for more info http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=83081 ).

Has anybody elso had problems with PowerSave not working after the A06 update? Whenever I check the power settings, it always says 312 Mhz. Before the A06 update, it would say 218Mhz when I check power settings.

Sometimes- When I set it to automatically adjust the CPU speed it will read 312MHz instead of 208MHz. I think it doesn't count battery size- I think it varies on how much power % you have left. If you're full then it will reach for the max performance.
But if I force it to powersave, it goes to 208MHz

Just updated to A06, powersave still shows 208Mhz on my X30 H.
