Battery depletion

I upgraded my X30 H to A06 about a year ago, a lot of the bugs were fixed with this upgrade, but the same time something happened to the battery that depletes way too fast, even when its off! And sometimes the battery dies altogether that my whole device resets itself and then I have to reconfigure everything again. I stopped using my Axim for this very reason, but after getting a new job that sorta requires me to have such a device, I'm thinking of using this instead of getting something newer.

I don't know if anybody has this problem regarding the battery, if so is there a fix for this? Or could it be that I just need a new battery? But again, this problem only started when I upgraded from A04 to A06 about a year ago. Maybe there's a patch that will fix this problem? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

batteries are really only good for a year or two depending on care and feeding (and pure randomness)

Personally, I'd upgrade to something newer... but it is your money.

1. Added feature that allows the WLAN auto power-off feature to be enabled and/or disabled in the Power applet.
2. Updated the Funk Odyssey client to version 2.00.00.1681
3. Updated the Bluetooth stack to version 1.5.0.4300
4. Added support for Go Daddy SSL certificate

I don't know if I will update right away or not. I don't feel like taking the time, but the Bluetooth stack update is tempting. I wonder what it does.
did you find out how it works? I downloaded it also but I don't know how to install anything on my new x30. Do I need the CD to use my axim? I was able to buy everything new except for the CD, it didn't come with it. Thanks a bunch :)

Hi Whisky :) I looked where you said and my new axim says in ROM Version:
A00(04300400EN) This is a real new axim, never used before. Does this mean I have to update? If I do, how do I do that. For those of you that don't know, I have very little knowledge about pocket pcs. I have learned the little I know from this site and a couple of people who have been really patient and kind. :o Thanks a bunch. ;)

Whisky, how do I upgrade to A05? I still have the original that came with the axim. Mine is new and has never been updated, still has the original ROM (A00 - 04300400EN). Therefore, I'd like to upgrade to at least the A05 and forget the A06 since I see many are having problems with it. I have the axim x30 H. Can you help me please? Do I need to install the sync program on my x30? Thanks a bunch.

I have a Mini 9 with BIOS A04 and I have Ubuntu 9.04 UNR as its operating system.I understand that the latest BIOS is A05. I don't know what changes were made going from A04 to A05. So my questions are: What changes were made? Should I upgrade? and How can I do the upgrade?
