It is an online service that lets you send large files. Basicly you upload it to their site (up to 1GB) and they email the person you want to get it with a link to the file on their server. Pretty convenient service if you don't mind someone else holding the file for you.
Hmm I wonder if this would address my ISP's attachment limitation???
I can only send a attachment of a certain size before they bounce it back.
Do they cut the file down like when I used to use a applications called slice???
Thanks
thanks...i got the file....but it didnt work...
i loaded using roma06.exe...but it said that i can only restored image from my axim only...how does it knows that???
is there any other ways to go back to roma05???
mypocketpc keeps crashing....it didn't do that in roma05
Bummer. Man, I don't know what to tell you. I'd try the SD card method. But I am somewhat of a risk-taker when it comes to my axim. Does anyone know how to trick the setup program to downgrade the ROM?
Um...how long is this new DL onto the AXIM supposed to take? I'm not very patient but it seems to be taking a looong time. Sigh. I swear if I screwed up my Axim...grrr. I've been sitting on Flash Write for at least 10 minutes now.
UPDATE....I used the SD card method....and finally got it to work..back to rom A05 now.....pocketmusic is working fine again...

Just a question for all you experts that have done a BIOS upgrade. I have a X30 High, running rom version A02. I want to update to A06. I have never done a flash on an Axim before.
I have heard people talking about a dell upgrade program. What is it? Does someone have a link?
I know I will have to reinstall everything, I can handle that, I just don't want to get done and end up with a expensive brick.
I have also see questions about version C and N? what is that all about?
My Axim has the 624 processor, 64 mg ram and built in Wireless and BT, if that helps.
During the flash, now long should I wait, when should I start to get concerned that there is a problem.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, when you download the update from Dell, they give you a program which updates the ROM via USB, and this is the best way to do it. It will select the correct file, and very few people have had problems with this.
If you can't do this for some reason, there is another way to do it via SD card.. read the thread I have said it several times. This is not so safe method to use, but if you really want to, the correct version is 'C' - you get two .IMG files in the folders you download from dell - one has C in it, another has N - we are not entirely sure the difference, but C is the one to use. I think the whole flash process takes about 10 minutes, but leave it for a long time before you interrupt it - this could be fatal for your axim :)
No, I can update via USB, my cradle works just fine. I will be sure to have it plugged directly into my laptop when I do this.
Thanks for the info, I will let you know how it came out.
Thanks again,
