Changing default install location?

How does one change the default site for new program installs on the PocketPC (Dell Axim X3)?

If you open Activesync and go to Tools > Add/Remove Programs on the applet that opens you'll see a checkbox for Install Program into the default installation folder. Uncheck that box. Now when you add a new program with Activesync you'll always be asked if you want to install to the default location. Choose No and a dropdown box of other locations will be presented to you so you can make your choice of install location.

If you're using a .cab file the freeware cabinstl program will let you choose another location other than main memory.
