pc remote access via pda??

i've read the tutorials on this site but still cannot seem to wirelessly autosync between my x30 and laptop. i also cannot connect with terminal services. For some reason, my latop doesnt even have the check box that allows remote users to connect (control panel -> system -> remote).

When I try and autosync, nothing happens.

When I try and use remote terminal services, it tells me that i need a VPN.

Does anyone have any idea of what my problem(s) are? Thanks

I believe you have to have xp pro to have remote desktop available (I do it all the time with my axim, I got xp pro on my new laptop mainly for that reason, but xp media center edition might work) I know that xp home will not work (without some hacks and .dll files)

but there are other options besides microsoft's remote desktop.

I use file explorer on my axim and hit the network share button and open the shared documents on my computer (this is on a local area network, not across the internet)
