keeps trying to connect

I recently purchased the x30 and really like it. However, when I have the wireless turned off and I want to use it as an mp3 player, it keeps trying to connect and display the "Cannot Connect" balloon and I can't operate the player until I dismiss the balloon. I'm using the The Core Pocket Media Player to play mp3s and there are no other programs (that I can see) running. I also recently installed Sbp Pocket Plus, ministumbler, some themes, Task Switch and Total Commander file browser, if that helps. Any help would be appreciated.

When it gives that error, is the wifi on? Do you see the green light on the antennae flashing?

Check your eMail Notifications and the Settings for any Today Plugins that may be trying to update themselves.

Thanks for the responses, I think I had the Messaging set to auto check email every 5 minutes.

Yep. That would do it. Stupid thingy.
