Backup battery- always dead? New main battery too.

My X3i has been acting weird for a longggggggg time now. Ive posted for nearly 10 months now with the same issue with no resolution.

The unit continually says the "backup" battery is dangerously low, yada yada. From what Ive seen, there is no physicall backup battery to replace. I purchased a new main battery the other day hoping for the best, with no luck. Same issue. The X3i runs like a slug too. Its no better then a paperweight!

The backup battery is an internal rechargable battery. It can not be replaced without taking the unit apart. I am not aware if the battery is a type you could pick up at Radio Shack.

If it is running slow it wouldn't hurt to go with a hard reset and reinstall only the apps you find you use. This should clear out any piled up stuff in the registry.

I took the unit apart and did not see any type of battery. As far as running slow and hard reseting etc etc........the unit has been hard reset numerous times, then I drained the battery out for over 2 months and it still acts this way.
