acessing internet using pass through and XP security question

When connecting to the internet via the pass through option in active sync, is pocket pc protected by the xp firewall i have set up for pc browsing or do i need to get a firewall for ppc as well?

The PPC would be protected by the XP firewall, but I would recommend using an appliance like a router in front of the XP machine.

A router is a device that sits in front of (or behind, depends on your perspective) your Internet connection. They do some basic security features and many of them also feature Wifi.

PROs - More secure, easier to share your single Internet connection with multiple devices.
CONs - Cost $. Not a lot though.
