Unresolved items with ACT! 6.0

Had my X30 for about 2 months now (having replaced a reliable Palm V). I use ACT! 6.0 and installed ActiveSync 3.8 last week.

When I plug in the X30 (and start AS), the PDA connects, attempts to sync the items, then says I have a ton of unresolved items. I click on the "unresolved items" tag ... system does its thing ... and still the same number of u/r items. This will go on for about 2-3 more tries, then the u/r item count drops dramatically (like down from 150 to 15) ... Try clicking u/r items tag again and again. Nothing.

Yet ... somedays it works fine. I have system set to overwrite PDA in the event of a conflict. I am "only" syncing Contacts, Activities, and To-Dos.

Any ideas so I can get this thing to sync first time? TIA.

What are you using for your conduit to ACT? ACTlink for pocketPC?

Usually unresolved items occur when you change a record on both the ax and the pc, but with your number of unresolves, certainly this is not the case.

I too use Act 6.0 and the actlink conduit -- occasionally get a few unresolved errors and don't know why (never as many as you). I set the desktop to override the pocket pc as well.

I used ACTlink for the Palm but don't think I'm using it now. I thought that's what AS does ... sync 'em up. I will uninstall ACTLink and see if the situation improves.

I use Act 6.0 with TransAct. I wanted more data than name and phone number. I set appointments in the field and it syncs with Act.
