pop email storage space

i use my axim x30 for my pop gmail account. i selected the feature "save attachment to the storage card." so i know the attachment are save in my sd card. but where does the actual text of the email are saved in? are they saved in the main memory of the pda or storage card? i dont want my main memory to store any email what so ever...so i can save spaces for other program im running. does anyone know this?

another quick question...y is it every time i delete it from my "inbox" on my axim and empty it out. next time when i log back it..wont it try to download those messages again when i have the setting not to delete it from the the gmail server. my question is...let said i need to download those messages again...how would i do it?
