Double Contacts after Active Sync Update

After problems with my computer that inhibited communication to my axim cradle, I updated Active Sync to version 3.8.0

Upon my next sync, I find that every contact is being loaded from Outlook to my X30 twice.

Any way to dump all contacts from my X30 and re-sync to get only one record for each of my 3000+ contacts?

Thanks
JR

You should check to see if the sync resulted in double entries in your desktop Outlook. I had to ultimately delete the duplicate entries by hand. If you hold the Control key while selecting the entries, you can delete several pages of contacts at once. I also had to delete duplicate calendar entries.

I also used hard resets and backup/restore. It was very time-consuming. I have also been reluctant to sync with my work computer since this problem.

Good luck,
Seb

If it's only your Axim with the duplicate contacts, you could do a hard reset without a restore to sync fresh. If both your PC and Axim have duplicates, Google for "Outlook duplicates remover". There are a few available but make sure you backup both Outlook (on your PC) and your Axim first.
