Case gurus: does this case exist?

I'm looking for a soft (leather?) case, flips up and all the way over, has cutouts so everything is accessible, and can store or (better yet) accomodate a wifi card while plugged in to the axim.

Basically, I want it to be protected enough that I can toss it in my courier bag without any problems, but accessible enough that I can whip it out and check email without fumbling to remove it from its case to get online.

Anyone have a pointer?

Okay, I guess I set myself up for that. I've already looked through the list, and the ones that look good will naturally have problem accomodating the protruding CF card.

Maybe I should ask if anyone is using their axim similarly to the way I plan on using it, and what case they've found to be the most useful.

FFR, the ones that appear the best are the .Sena , Krussel , and Piel Frama. I'm just wondering how people deal with the fumbling to put in CF cards or if these cases can even store CF cards.

I've been waiting for someone to make the same case you are looking for since January. I've pretty much given up. I'm going to get a PPC with wireless built in and then I can just use a regular case.

I saw from other pics that the Piel Frama has a hole in the top for CF, and the ambicom card is relatively small. I think that's what I'll go with.

I bought the Piel Frama a while back for just that reason. My D-Link card is bulky, but still was a good fit for it. I'm probably about to get an Ambicom as well since my D-Link has gone out. The Piel Frama was exactly what I was looking for....CF cutout, quality leather, stylish, and just all around a great case. Easily gets my recommendation.

Post back when it's done. I've already received mine, but I'd be interested to know more about the other.

Yeah, I have the black as well. Great case. Look at those pics in the link stultus posted. Smbruce, a member here at Aximsite, took those pics awhile back. They are what made me decide on the Piel Frama.
:)

He has pics of both his black case and of his tan case on there.

I've ordered a Vaja case (one of their custom cases). It's a bit expensive compared to other cases but allowed me to select what options I wanted, including a CF cutout. According to FedEx it is currently delayed in customs so I can't give you any details yet.

i have the sena, and the dell 1100 series wifi card. I keep the card in the lid of the case, there's kinda a pocket that holds it (not a slit like for credit cards or mirror, but the whole lid is a pocket with the opening under the SD pockets). It works great, I just open the case, slide out the card, and pop it in. There's no way the card can fall out while the case is closed either.

I'm not sure how the cutout cases would work for what you want anyway, since the card would stick out, wouldn't you have to take the card out in order to open the case with the lid all the way flipped around?

maybe it's just 'cause i've never used one...
