Hey everyone, I currently have 2 128mb memory sticks that I used with my clie. However, now that i have my dell, I think that I can use one of the sticks for my axim via a compact flash adapter. Does anyone know much about these? Useful, not worth it? Prices, and where to buy? Thanks a lot!

Most of the adapters I've seen for memory stick to CompactFlash are 4-in-1 adapters that are pretty pricey (and BULKY!). However, I remembered stumbling across one unit a while back, and still had the link. This is the smallest (and cheapest) MemoryStick adapter I've seen, and it will handle up to 128MB memory sticks. ok, thanks! I'm assuming that the actual adapter will stick out of the axim by about .5in to accomodate the MS. Now, for $25 is this worth getting, or should I just go for a bigger CF card for bigger movies and such? Decisions decisions :P

I think the adapter itself will sit pretty flush with the top of the Axim. The Memory Stick, however, will be left sticking out a small amount. If you think that you'd NEVER own another Sony product, I'd say sell the memory sticks and get a big CF card. However, if you think you might get a Sony camera, camcorder, voice recorder, etc.....then it might be worthwhile to get the adapter. That way you could for instance take pictures on the camera, stick the MS in this adapter, and be able to view or download the pics onto the Axim.

True, I might end up owning more sony devices in teh future...the specs say that the unit is approximately 2in tall, wouldn't that make the adapter too tall to fit in flush in the CF slot on the axim? I love the dual slots on this thing tho, its rocks!
