just for reference purposes, i've owned/used extensively several digital cameras, from low end olympus, toshiba pdr-t20, jvc 3meg, nikon 5700, olympus 3 megapixel, and I still think the pdr3330 takes nice quality outdoor pictures, even comparing it with our current nikon5700. Obviously, lower res and far less features, but still great image quality.

Yeah, was looking at the PDR-3330 too (same camera, just in silver instead of black). Have you had any problems with the refurb? Only comes with a 30 day warranty, kinda scared me...BTW I've seen the refurbs on Ebay (from reliable sellers) for $120 starting...

actually, i've made it a habit of purchasing 3 year warranty's with digital cameras, because of the 7 i've purchased, 2 have needed them within the 3 years, for complete replacement. I went ahead and purchased tigerdirects warranty, I think it was like $39, which is worth the peace of mind to me, and still leaves me with a great price, especially with warranty. But I've had mine for about 25 days, absolutely no problems, although I've only shot around 100 pics.

If you want something you will really carry you can get a Milolta Dimage X. It is significantly smaller than the Axim itself and uses an SD card. There are two more advanced models now so you can find this one as cheap as $239 if you search for it on the web. I carry my Dimage in the pocket of my lab coat all day long at work and take pictures as I need to. I teach High School Art and document a lot of stuff in my classroom.

I have a Canon Powershot A40. Took already 6000+ pictures. You can find some of them on my website: http://users.pandora.be/koen.george/GALLERY/PICS.HTM

A60 and A70 are at least as good.

Good luck to everyone looking for a camera.
