removing screen protector

I obtained an Axim X5 from my older brother a few months ago. However, either the screen protector is wrinkled or has a scratch, or the problem is on the screen itself.

How can I safely remove the thin plastic protector on the screen without damaging it or the screen with accidental scratches?

I use a credit card, just be careful and if you have to scratch something, go towards the screen protector, since ur removing it.

I believe some people have used assorted types of toothpicks to pick up the edge.... round, flat, chewed, not chewed.

You also try sticking a piece of really sticky tape near the edge and lifting. Aluminum duct tape would be a good choice (just be real careful what you stick it to!)

... and don't forget to shut down your Ax before so the screen won't get crazy ;)

Tape sounds like a good idea... there's already a tab partly lifted, but it's torn so I can't get a grip. I'll let you know if it worked.

I'm hoping for a brand name or manufacturer...

....of the slightly stiffer screen protectors that do not us much gum to adhere the protector to the screen?

I have just crumpled my third "film like" one..... and have given up!

The ones I am thinking of are quite rigid and are very easy to "place"....

Sorry for the hijack..
