Fossil PDA Watch First Thoughts

Well, I recieved my Fossil PDA Watch on Friday night. Most of the online reviews I read were positive, but when I asked on Aximsite, I didn't get very good feedback. After reading reviews, I was expecting it to be big, but I was still a little shocked at the size of the watch! It looks about the size of a little match box on your wrist. This is definatly not for women, and really only for men with bigger arms and wrists to wear it on.

That said, I am still really liking the watch. The curve of the band really helps to reduce the appearance of it on your wrist, and the rubber wrist bands help add to the comfort. Setting up the software and syncing is a breeze, and after a little playing around, I have figured out how to navigate through the option fairly well. It can sync your contacts, notes, tasks, and calander.

I would NEVER have paid the suggested retail price of $150 for this, but for the $20 I got it off ebay, I am loving it. I would recommend it if you can get this cheap price, and don't mind a huge watch.

Actually, it will only sync with a PPC. They can't be synced with a PC. I forgot to mention that, sorry.

Can you set the watch to give you reminders on appointments, or does it do it automatically? I do computer repair privately, and my PPC keeps my life organized. Could the watch beep at me and give me a little note such as address of a client? I might just get one...

Thanks

I don't know about reminders, I have all noises on both my PPC and watch turned off because I am in school, but it can take notes and addresses.

There are two different versions, one for Palm, and one for PPC. The one for PPC only lists Journada, Cassiopeia, and ipaq, but it will work with the Axim.

Does it shock your wrist when you miss an appointment?

It should, but no. I think that is in the concept design for the next one.
