X5 Dell Truemobile 1180 Wireless card

I have recently purchased a second hand X5 [PC 2003] and would love to install wireless. Have the CF card and disc. Loads ok and driver appears in loaded programmes but then the pda says "Driver not installed" when I insert card even though the card itself is recognised. Is it something to do with the Dell driver - Anyone else have this problem and anyone else found a solution. Thanks for the help!

Dell has a driver on their site for that card. You may want to try it.

I am having the same problem Sue. My device was wiped and I am starting over.

I have loaded the driver but can't seem to get it to work right yet. I will keep plugging away and let you know what I do to get it working. I don't remember it being so cantankerous the first time out.

Well that went better than expected. The problem that I was having was the driver that I was using was for PPC 2002. That is the version linked in the post above mine also. I think that is the same place I got mine to begin with .

Anywho, go here and get the PPC 2003 version. Make sure you uninstall the old version and then run setup per usual. You may need to setup your wireless profile (mine was done beforehand) and you should be right as rain.

Hope this helps!
