Why so many cases?

I see from those of you who use a signature file that *almost* everyone has more than one case. Usually an aluminum and a leather.

Would you care to comment why you need/want two cases? Do you use each for different things?

I've ordered a leather flip case from Uniqase because it looked very low profile. I will know soon.

Yo texas_ags welcome to the community. I have an aluminum case and enjoy the sturdiness and the protection that it offers, but I have been considering a leather case for everyday use because it includes sd slots, slots for credit cards and might be slightly slimmer. I am looking for a case though that allows for a WiFi card to be in most of the time. Let me know what you think about your case. Again welcome to Aximsite. let me know if you have any questions.

Most typical PDA owners want the best.... Therefore, everytime there is a new one, a bunch will buy it too. I have owned almost every case designed for the Axim....hehe

Welcome to the site texas_ags. To try to answer your question, the reason I need to have 2 or more cases is because I have one for protection while the axim is in my pocket. My Ax is pretty much always in my RhinoSkin. I then have my GrinderGear Basecamp so put my Ax and my accessories in to take back and forth with me to work. I think that most of the hard cases out there have no room for storage while the leather and other soft cases do. That is probably why a lot of people have more than one.

That makes sense to me. Thank you for your input.

That icon you use in your profile reminds me of "mr yuck" from my younger days. Excellent.

That Grinder Gear case is SERIOUS!

Reminds me I have a similarly sized Eagle Creek "guide bag" that might work very well when I want to carry all things PDA around Australia with me in a few months.

Thanks for the thought.

And Mr AximSiteAdmin...

I understand what you mean too. I'm always buying something and very soon after thinking, why didn't I get this or that or isn't that new version cool!

I should have an ebay store for slightly used items! :)

Yesterday I found an Old Nave Sling pack designed for a Cd Player and a Cell for for $7 on clearence it works perfectly, hold my pda, modem, travel charger, extra battery head phones, retractable phone line, chapstick, pocket knife, cell phone and I still have a ton of room. What a steal.

I have multiple cases from my search for the "perfect" case. I am pretty satisfied with my last purchase, though.

The DSI holster. I have finally found a fitted hard case that will allow me to use it with my extended battery in place.
