Mad Problems copying to SD Card

I'm copying mp3 files to my SD card (some quite large - 15MB)

If I drag and drop multiple files I end up with lots of folders with the (apparent) name "."

This has happened a couple of times and I end up having to format the card

Have I got a dodgy card?

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a better way?

Is there a free card formatting software anywhere?

Thanks

Probably. Check this thread for details and answers to your questions and also check out happycheesecake's website (linked from his signature).

Thanks for that Ike that was a great help

But I only seem to get the problem when I drag 'n drop multiple files. Seems like a software/OS problem????

A number of reports with large files >15MB and multiple file drops. I "solved" the problem by using my card reader for the transfers.
