I didn't like the fact that Belkin was advertising on my overlay too. However, you have to admit that they did pick the best spot for it. I completely forgot that it was there until I ran across this post.

I don't know how long these things are supposed to last, but so far I got 2 months mine.

FYI: Make sure you read the instructions. I was too cool to read them, and ended up waisting my first one.

I also was very dissapointed when I saw the belkin.com advertising at the bottom, come on, I paid for my protector, I would only accept that if they gave it away for free, but how dare them put an advertising on a highly overpriced product. $18 is a bit too much for just a cheap sticker, it is not more than that. They even advertise that bluriness on the screen as being "anti glare", hmmm, that's just a result of using such a cheap product, I was very impressed when I removed it and looked at my clean screen again, it was so neat and sharp. I would never recommend to buy this.

I returned them, and I'm now patiently waiting for my G2s from pdascreenprotectors.com, although I hope they work right, since I was a bit dissapointed on how the online order went through, and it seems like mail from Canada is going to take a lot of time.

By placing the name of the manufacturer in the most inobtrusive location possible Belkin (or any other company) is just making sure you know what they are if you like them and want to order more of them. There have been occasions where I wanted to purchase more of a product but couldn't identify it - that can be frustrating, too.

Then they could include extra small "belkin.com" stickers that you could place anywhere else, but on the screen.

Personally, I hate the stupid belkin.com thingy. It really gets in the way when you need the space for SIM 2000 or a full screen video. I guess you get what you pay for, other than that, it keeps my screen clean.

dan12,

I get your point, but you aren't getting Belkin's. They know that if it were up to the consumer then their name would be in the trash.

When it comes to a piece of plastic like a screen protector, I don't see what all the hype is. Yes I need one, but seeing Belkin.com on the bottom of it doesn't make me want to go out and get theirs.

It's not like they are Dupont or Rubbermaid. If I drop my Axim on the screen will it bounce back in my hand. I think not!

BUT!!! A check on the side of a pair of tennis shoes is another thing... It makes you jump higher and run faster. Now that is something to be proud about.

:-)
