Welcome to the "I've got a SANDISK SD Card" Club.
Dont mess with it send it back, get your money back. Buy another make. If you dont you will end up shooting yourself in the head.
By the way, check SANDDISKS website for compatability with handheld pc's and be amazed.
I know that there are a million threads to this, but I have a Taiwan made San Disk and got it from Dell. If there are such serious issues, why does Dell not address them to the manufacturor. It seem that if I put a large file on and then delete it, the rest of my info gets deleted or made uncompatible. i have also noticed that some programs will run off the SansDisk card and others not. Why is it so picky? :crooked:
I hear you on this one. I wasn't convinced that the card was completely bad so I went out and bought a card reader. I reformatted the card and tried writing various files to it. <1M to 120M. It appears to accept all the data via the USB card reader fine. I wonder if the problem is with the cards interaction with Activesync. Any thoughts?

By the way rohantc, you can delete files using the explore function in Activesync. Find your SD card and delete the relevant file. If it's a full program you want to delete use Add/remove programs in the Tools menu of Activesync. Another way to delete is to use file explorer on the Ax, find the SD card directory, tap and hold the file you want to delete and then tap delete.

This is a similar problem with my 256mb card, it works OK if there is just one file on, but as soon as I copy some music or picture files on it corrupts the original file. I even tried copyiing into a directory hoping it wouldnt affect the original but it still does it. I tried to copy a whole album of mp3 files , it copied some but then gave a message that it couldnt read the file or file type unknown.
I also had a SanDisk card that was bad. It would behave for a couple of weeks and then fail. Best advice is to return the SanDisk card for a refund within the 30 day period Dell gives you. After 30 days, you're stuck. If you wait until you're thoroughly convinced that indeed the card is defective, it will probably be too late. I waited too long.
If you look at this site or the Dell site you will see large, informative threads on this topic.

Steve
I bought my card on EBAY form the US, so I am probably stuck with it unless SANDISK would do a swap, Which I doubt.
I checked out another site where a survey is being done on bad cards, the worst offender is a sandisk 256MB code AR0304LR - guess which one I've got.
