PDA + Paper Planner Solution?
I do hope someone here might be able to help me

I want a combination of PDA holder/sleeve and paper planner (think Day-Timer or Franklin-Covey type notebooks). I like to keep facts and such in my PDA but also have paper on which to doodle. I can't entirely wean myself away from writing. I think differently in pen and paper writing than do with either computer or PDA and there's really a place for all 3 in my life.

This is something like what I'm thinking of but I'm not sure it would fit the Ax:

This would fit my Desk sized DayTimer binder. That would be my preferred way to go as I like the binder a lot, and also have accessories for it like photo holders. It's very personalized.

If another company (Day Runner, Franklin Covey, whoever) has an insert that fits the Ax, those are usually punched with the same 7 hole pattern as the Day-Timer. So that would work.

Finally, if I have to get another binder with a built-in sleeve, not an insert, for an Ax, I'll go that route. But that sounds expensive. Sigh!

Any thoughts?

Many many thanks!

This should work for you. I have a franklin-covey pocket-sized binder and the clip works pretty good. Just make sure you don't clip it on the toggle switch on the left side... that'll drive you nuts until you figure out why your screen is going berzerk.

I used an insert with my old palm iiie, and I liked it a lot. It's funny you mention paper, I still use paper for a lot of things without realizing it. It's just easier to find some information that way. Sometimes the pda seems cumbersome for what I need. Thanks for the links of the inserts, I'll look into them too.

Thanks for the links. I've been looking for something like this! All I have seen are the binders with built in pockets for PDAs. I want one like this to put in 'my' Daytimer binder.

Update:

DayTimers had nothing to help me.

I didn't plan to be, but I was at a mall with a Franklin-Covey store and found myself browsing.

I got a Franklin-Covey binder with a universal PDA clip that is actually strong and stable.

And paper inserts.

And I can pull the things from my old binder out and put it in the F-C binder.

Spent $ but it really rocks.
