Cool Drivers for TrueMobile 1180 WLAN CF Card

I recently purchased a used Axim X5 with a Dell TrueMobile 1180 WLAN CF card. I need the software/drivers for it but cannot find it on Dell's website. I think that it is manuafactured by Broadcom, but I am not sure. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Help still not got driver for truemobile 1180 cf wireless

Ikehiker,

Followed the WM03 link you put on the previous post. It takes me to te Dell site and the same download that is totally unsuccessful. All it downloads is the manifest to downloads under my documents. It doesn't put a desktop icon to start up as it says it will. Any other route? Running VISTA Business and having all kinds of problems. It says I can't synchronise as I don't have outlook express. I have windows live, windows mail, window calendar on my computer and WM03 calendar etc on the AXIM X5. HELLLPPP!!!

Cheers

Andy

I'm not sure what your problem is with the download. It worked for me (downloaded R61444.exe which I assume is the driver file). I used the option to download through the web browser (not the desktop download option). I have no experience with Vista so I cannot say if the download file will work with it. The file was written to work with Activesync which does not work with Vista so I suppose it's possible the driver will not install properly through Windows Mobile Device Center.

Aximsitex5icon This give you any more clue?

This is the download file if I use the Dell Website. It is described as a manifest file. If you then click on the file in the download folder it says there is no file or folder in a pop up after a verification screen comes up and runs. Any more ideas? No web option seems to be available in the UK. Did you download from the US Site?

It downloads fine for me on an XP Machine also.

I think your problem is Vista.
These older drivers and update files from dell tend to only work with XP and ActiveSync.
Vista and WMDC can't cope with them.
