Help with internet setup

Hi everyone.

I bought a used X5 and a used Symbol WiFi CF card.

I downloaded the driver for the card from the symbol support site.

It installed just fine. Now I have the little symbol in the bottom, right hand corner of my PDA.

I did a soft restart and inserted the card.

It lets me find my own home network that is password protected. But when I go to click CONNECT, it says, "Enter the password that allows changing the configuration."

What password is this!??! Please help!

Try no password.

When connecting to a network, the only password you should input is your encryption key, if it exists.

You need to put the information for the network you are connecting to in the WLAN profile associated with that network.

Click on "the little symbol in the bottom, right hand corner" and select WLAN Profiles.

Select your home network and click on [Edit]

There are tabs along the bottom to go from page to page filling in the required information.

When all pages have the correct info, click on [OK]

Properly set up. the card should connect automatically to the nearest network you have the access information saved for.

Good idea to check Start>Settings>Connections>Wireless Ethernet and see that you have the type of access desired selected from the drop-down for the Wireless LAN adapter.
