Last Friday I broke my left arm; it will be unusable for quite awhile. I guess I am learning from necessity to type one handed. Unfortunately there is written work I must complete sooner than the arm will be usable for touch typing. Before the break I had been practicing with the FITALY keyboard on the Axim 400, and had doubled my speed on that method of input. It would be my method of choice for input for my written work that now is a bulky resident on my PC. The trouble is that FITALY has no hardware keyboard with a PC version; the PC version is a touch screen input version AFAIK.

The challenge:
Is there a way to use the Axim 400 WinMob PC, equipped with the FITALY keyboard, as a pass-through to the screen and software of the PC?

My computer runs WinME on a 900 MHz AMD Athlon, with the WP program being MS Word.

Why not just type it all on the axim then transfer it over and cut n paste? You can still have your computer screen free to look off of while doing all the typing on your axim.

How about Pocket Controller. It works very well and you can dl a trial.

To demented lemur: thanks. That would work for new coctent, more or less. I'm faced, though, with revising a collection of existing MSWord documents using five fonts. I have fast one point input from the Axim--part of the solution--and tedious inpGiGiut if the PC is stand alone. There will be parts where I can cut n paste, though. Thanks.

To GiGi--Thanks. I will try Pocket controller Enterprise edition, though their website blurb sees to describe exactly the reverse of what I need--at least they do hook the Ax and the PC together.

The ads for GoToMyPC seem to indicate the possibility of remote operation of a PC by an Axim or other PPC, Does anyone have experience with this?
